About Our Founder

 Zach Luevanos is a former collegiate coach and recruiting coordinator with experience across Power 4, Division I, and NAIA baseball. His background includes coaching and recruiting at Our Lady of the Lake University, the University of the Incarnate Word, UTSA, and the University of Illinois (Big Ten).  Zach has served as Pitching Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, Hitting Coach, Catching Coach, and Outfield Coach. At the Division I level, he recruited both on and off campus and provided evaluation input that informed offer and roster decisions.  Zach currently works with Texas Twelve Baseball, a nationally recognized program known for consistently placing athletes into college baseball programs nationwide. Over the years, he has advised dozens of athletes and families—often informally—on recruiting strategy, development priorities, and college fit, with documented results and testimonials to support his work.  He founded Deep South Baseball Consulting to provide independent, honest recruiting guidance and remote player development to athletes regardless of team, organization, or affiliation. DSBC exists to help families cut through noise, avoid common recruiting mistakes, and make informed decisions based on how college coaches actually evaluate players.
